Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson 'Gay Affair' Affecting Their Friendship And One Direction

Rumours that One Direction's Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson are having a gay affair is reportedly affecting their friendship and disrupting the band.

From Entertainment Wise.
The boys, who have just returned from their hugely successful 'Up All Night' North American tour initially laughed off and joked about the bromance but now admit it is affecting the way the boys act around each other. Louis even hinted that it was affecting his current romance with student Eleanor Calder.
According to MTV News in an interview with Tumblr, the Doncaster native said: “This is a subject that was funny at first but now is actually hard to deal with as I am in a relationship.”
But it isn't just his relationship with Eleanor that is being affected, Louis confessed that things had changed between him and Harry and that they can't do anything in public together without it being misconstrued.
“Me and Harry are best friends, people look into our every move,” he explained, “it is actually affecting the way me and Harry are in public.
“We want to joke around but there seems to be a different rumour every time we do anything.”
Claiming it is just boys joking, the 20 year-old added: “I act the same way with Harry as I do any of the other boys and my childhood friend Stan.”
Despite the band mostly laughing off the gay rumours, many fans have uploaded photos and video clips to YouTube suggesting the boys have more than just a bromance.

It would be such a shame if their friendship is affected as they look so comfortable in each other's company.

  1. Obviously, only the guys know the truth. If they are just close friends, then it's a shame that they are subjected to this sort of 'harassment' ... I'm a gay man, and there is nothing at all wrong about being gay, but being a young, open-minded, straight guy.. having to deal constantly with the suspicion of being dishonest and hiding their true selves is sad.

I completely understand WHY these rumors are perpetrated. They're both cute young men.. that are *very* physically affectionate in public. More so than any males I've ever known that weren't gay. But, that doesn't mean they are gay.

People in the gay community and those that are sympathetic to the gay community are constantly saying that they want a world where being gay is irrelevant, isn't a world where two straight boys can be openly affectionate, without fear, just that?

Lay off the boys people.. If they are, let them come to terms with it in their own time, in their own way. If they aren't you're behaving no better than straight bullies acting out against gay teens.

Own it and don't freak out. You're young and it might bother you, but it really doesn't matter. It won't affect your fans, either, especially if you're cool and unflappable about it.

  3. As a 56 year old out gay man who has no idea who these guys are, I have just one thing to say. They are either lying to the public or lying to themselves.

Watching their affection towards each other is beautiful. Straight/Gay/Bi/Curious who gives a shit. It their life let them live it. I act the same way to my fiance of 9 years he's the only man i've been with and i'm lucky as hell i found my best friend who happens to also be my partner in life and an amazing lover.

  5. They are clearly in love with each other - but who knows if it's plutonic or sexual, and who cares? They are boys appreciating a mutual affection and having a good time ... why ruin that by making them uncomfortable? I think we should wish that more people in this world were as sweet together.
