A Bullied Student And An Inspiring Hero

A simple act of kindness continued to pay off for Richard Henegar Jr. and Jordan Addison.

Henegar, who manages Quality Auto Paint & Body in Roanoke, repaired Addison’s 1999 Volkswagen Passat for free last month after the Radford University student’s car was vandalized with homophobic slurs. When WDBJ-TV did a story about Henegar and Addison, producers of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" invited the two men to a taping in Burbank, Calif., last week. Watch their apperance on Ellen after the jump.

The season-opening show, which aired on Monday, contained another surprise: the CoverGirl cosmetics company gave Henegar and Addison $25,000 each.

Publicists for the show said CoverGirl provided the cash gift to the men "for sharing their story and for being a good example for the rest of us."
