China's Abandoned Wonderland

UK based photographer, Catherine Hyland made this beautiful and haunting video of Wonderland, a theme park project that started in 1998 just outside of Beijing. It was supposed to be the largest theme park in Asia. Unfortunately, the project was soon abandoned after the developers and the local farmers could not agree on the rights of the land and the funding was withdrawn. What is left behind now are structures in various states of completion that anyone can wander through and explore. Check out this surreal disney-like wasteland.   

Appreciating nature

We all know the old saying, stop and smell the roses. How many of us actually do that? There is nothing more beautiful to me than the beauty of nature. Too often we are so caught up in the business of life that we forget to take a moment, stop, and appreciate nature and the world around us. I hope these series of photograph will inspire you to look around where you live, wherever that maybe, and see what a wonderland we all live in.
