Lazaro Arbos didn’t let his significant stutter stop him from auditioning for "American Idol".

The 21-year-old Cuban native began stuttering at age 6. The stuttering got even worse after he moved to Florida when he was 10. There were times he couldn’t speak at all, and his mother had to say everything for him. Eventually, she said, "I would just say ‘Sing to me! Sing to me!’"

But Arbos’ stutter was nowhere to be found during his moving rendition of "Bridge Over Troubled Water", and the judges were left in awe. Watch his inspiring performance after the jump.

Something pretty amazing happened on Australian television last night - Big Brother contestant Benjamin Norris proposed to his boyfriend on live television moments after being crowned the winner of the reality TV show.

Norris, one of 16 housemates on the show, was the last contestant standing and won $250,000 when the ninth series of Big Brother Australia ended.

The 32-year-old accounts manager shocked the audience and host Sonia Kruger when, after he left the house, he got down on one knee on stage and asked his partner Ben Williams to marry him.

His partner enthusiastically accepted the proposal and the pair embraced before shouting: "We're engaged!".

16-year-old X Factor contestant Ella Henderson wowed the crowd and left judge, former Pussycat Doll singer Nicole Scherzinger in tears after belting out her heart-rending version of Cher's Believe.

Gary Barlow told Ella afterwards: "I've got to say, if I was to have a top five of the most annoying songs of all time that would come fairly close to the top for me.

"But today I would pay lots of money to hear that version again. That was amazing."

And Cher herself tweeted: "work Done ...Went on Utube 2 c young girl sing Believe! Tears came 2 my eyes! So Touching! a Great version of a Great Song.WE Can Share It!

Watch Lucy Spraggan's X-Factor UK Bootcamp Performance

Lucy Spraggan is one hell of a singer-songwriter. The talented singer-songwriter wowed the judges and audience members alike when she took to the stage to perform her self-penned track Tea And Toast during the bootcamp stage of the show. Spraggan warned the panel that she had a sad song up her sleeve and was reduced to tears when more than 5,000, who packed Liverpool’s Echo Arena gave her a standing ovation following her performance.

Explaining her inspiration for the song, she said: 'I was busking in town and this elderly couple walked past holding hands. Then the lady collapsed in the street and was unconscious. 'And the look on the husband’s face was like he’d never lost her before and he’d just lost her then. It was horrible and it inspired me to write a song — after I got them into an ambulance.'

Lesbian Songwriter Lucy Spraggan Gets A Standing Ovation For Her Song 'Beer Fear'

UK X Factor hopeful Lucy Spraggan has stormed into second place on the iTunes download chart, after wowing audiences with her song ‘Beer fear’ on Saturday night’s audition show. Yes... Its a song about booze. Accompanying herself on the guitar, the talented contestant impressed both the audience and the judges, winning a standing ovation.

Speaking to the official ITV1 X Factor website, Lucy also explained exactly what she meant by ‘beer fear’.

She said: “It’s when you wake up, look around the room and say to yourself ‘where the bejeezus am I?’

“Or alternatively it can be when you wake up with someone hugging you and for a split-second you’re thinking ‘who the heck is that?’ When this happens, it always ends up being a mate who crashed over for the night.” Watch her performance on X Factor after the jump......
