John Barrowman and Scott Gill Got Hitched


John Barrowman and his long term partner Scott Gill got hitched today in the state of California today.

The Doctor Who and Arrow star announced the news by posting a video and a photograph of themselves with their marriage certificate.

The couple previously entered into a civil partnership in the UK on December 27, 2006.

Awwww ain't they adorable! Congratulations to the happy couple!!!

Two South African men tied the knot in a ceremony that brought together the Zulu and Tswana traditions. Tshepo Cameron Modisane and Thoba Calvin Sithol, both 27, were married in the town of KwaDukuza (Stanger). They walked down the aisle in front of 200 guests at the Stanger Siva Sungam community hall.

Something pretty amazing happened on Australian television last night - Big Brother contestant Benjamin Norris proposed to his boyfriend on live television moments after being crowned the winner of the reality TV show.

Norris, one of 16 housemates on the show, was the last contestant standing and won $250,000 when the ninth series of Big Brother Australia ended.

The 32-year-old accounts manager shocked the audience and host Sonia Kruger when, after he left the house, he got down on one knee on stage and asked his partner Ben Williams to marry him.

His partner enthusiastically accepted the proposal and the pair embraced before shouting: "We're engaged!".

Launching today to coincide with the UK's National Adoption Week, the 'Invisible Parents' online short film hope to raise awareness on gay parenting rights throughout Europe.

The short film features the voice of a woman reminiscing about a happy childhood with her two fathers, before stating that the majority of Europe does not recognize families with gay parents.

Washington-based rap duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis received a lot of attention when they release their single Same Love off their upcoming album The Heist. The reason for the attention is the lyrical content of the song. The song talks about the use of phrases like “so gay” and “faggot” in popular culture, and knocks referencing the Bible when trying to counter same-sex marriage.

The track was also used as a rallying cry in support for Referendum 74, a public vote to be held next month in Washington, that, if passed, would legalize same-sex marriage. Now that the November 7 vote is approaching, the duo have released the accompanying video, detailing a gay man's life from birth to old age. The song was released earlier this year, but the video was dropped on Tuesday afternoon. Hugh Grant Backs Equal Marriage Rights Campaign


Hugh Grant has revealed he supports equal marriage. The actor, 52, is the latest big name to record a video for UK's Out4Marriage campaign. The Four Weddings and a Funeral star admits he is not a "big believer" in the institution of marriage but is adamant same-sex couples should be given the same rights.

In the video message he said: "I'm not a massive believer in marriage, I think my own biography is testament to that. But I do think that love is the same for everyone." Watch his message after the jump.
