Disco diva Donna Summer has died today aged just 63 following a battle with cancer. The showbiz website TMZ.com reported that she passed away in Florida this morning. She is survived by her husband, three daughters, and four grandchildren.

When Brokeback Mountain meets Adele's Someone like you

Check out this incredible video clip by Gomnitus that mashes up Adele's Someone like you with the most heart wrenching parts of Brokeback Mountain. I have to admit that my eyes started misting half way. It reminded me how beautiful and powerful Brokeback Mountain as a film was and with Adele's song lyrics, it just tore at me. This clip was made by Gomnitus to promote the “Say No to Hate” campaign which fights bullying and promotes equality. It’s really a beautiful marriage of a transcendent song and film.

The "Call me maybe" obsession continues

Few days ago, I discover this amazingly catchy little number, Call me maybe, by canadian poppet, Carly Rae Jepsen. The single has hit the top of the charts in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and United Kingdom. In the US, the track broke into the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 just last week. Seems there are a lot of tribute/spoof videos from celebrities and fans alike. The funnies being the one developed by hoodwinked film (below). The Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez clip is a must watch too as it is totally adorkable. I think Carly really have to write all these people a thank you note for all the extra publicity. Enjoy!
