Lush's Kiss And Tell Protest

Cosmetics retailer Lush has joined Australia's gay marriage campaign by inviting customers to join a mass kiss-in protest at its stores on this coming saturday.

The 'Kiss and Tell' protest will see people smooching for equal marriage in stores across the country, where people can also learn about marriage equality and sign a petition asking the government to take action and remove discrimination from the Marriage Act.

LUSH has invited the public and their pouts down to LUSH stores to kiss in support of marriage for same-sex couples and to sign petitions telling the federal government to end the ongoing discrimination against tens of thousands of couples and families across Australia. The ‘Kiss and Tell’ will be taking place at LUSH stores across Australia at 1pm to highlight the equality currently denied to same-sex couples and their families under the discriminatory Australian Marriage Act (AMA). LUSH, in partnership with Australian Marriage Equality (AME), is calling on the Australian federal government to pass the proposed amendments to the Australian Marriage Act, which would allow same-sex couples and their families access to the human rights that come with federal marriage recognition and ultimately their right to equality and the pursuit of happiness.
For one week starting on July 9, LUSH is turning its shops across Australia into ‘campaign centers’ where people can drop in to learn about marriage equality denied to same-sex couples and sign a petition asking the government to take action and remove discrimination from the Australian Marriage Act. To further efforts, LUSH has created a new limited edition Freedom Foamer Bubble Bar ($7.50) with 100% of the proceeds going to Australian Marriage Equality’s campaign to end marriage discrimination.  This uplifting vegan bubble bar is scented with fresh lime and grapefruit and will be available at www.lush.com.au and at LUSH stores across Australia for the duration of the campaign.
All kissing for the cause will be photographed and used in the campaign.
