'Hotel Room Portraits' by Richard Renaldi

Guatemala City, Guatemala, 2003
New York based photographer Richard Renaldi (above left) and his partner Seth Boyd have traveled the world as a result of Richard’s photography and Charles Lane Press, the art/photography publishing company they established together. Renaldi began his 'Hotel Room Portraits' series back in the late ‘90s. Initially, the photos were a documentation of simple and almost mundane moments in the life of a traveling gay couple but after adding images to the series for more than a decade, the collection had turn into an intimate and fascinating body of work which document Renaldi and Boyd’s enduring relationship.

Below are some of my favorites of the collection. You can see the whole series on Renaldi’s website.
