Watch - Sally Field Accepts HRC Ally for Equality Award, Says She is Proud Of Her Gay Son, Sam Greisman

Two-time Oscar winner/three-time Emmy winner Sally Field, beloved for her roles in films like Places in the Heart and Steel Magnolias talked about being the proud mom to a gay son as she accepted the Human Rights Campaign's Ally for Equality Award on Saturday.

From Hypervocal.
Introduced by her son, Sam Greisman, Field delivered a flawless, seemingly effortless speech about how loving your children no matter who they love is the least a mother can do. It’s not so much a speech as a parental blueprint that every mother and father should be required to see.
Field’s most quotable line came near the end of her remarks, when she thanked the HRC for its work: “You all have fought for him as surely as if you were one of his parents. You’ve changed, and are changing, the lives of little boys and girls who realize somewhere along the way they’re just different from their other brothers and sisters … and so the F*&K what?”
