HarperCollins Australia have announced that they are publishing gay Australian Olympic diver Matthew Mitcham’s autobiography on 1 December 2012. Titled ‘Twists and Turns’, the book will cover his life as an Olympic champion and as one of the most high profile gay athletes. The book will be a trade paperback priced at $29.99.

The pilot episode of The New Normal has just hit the Internet way ahead of its September 11th debut. The New Normal stars Justin Bartha and Andrew Rannells as David and Bryan, a gay couple looking to have a baby through a surrogate. The pilot episode has them exploring their options, and eventually meeting Goldie (Georgia King), a single mother looking for a fresh start in life. A couple returning from a dreamy vacation endured a nightmarish end to their trip. Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic must be one of the most likeable tennis player on the planet. Not only is he one of the best players in the world, but he is also notoriously good-humored and love his fans. During a practice session ahead of his US Open title defence, a young boy in the crowd shouts 'Will you marry me?' to the number two ranked tennis player. Djokovic then invited the boy on to the court for a few serves. He gave the boy his racket and then attempted to play against him with his hand. He then hug the youngster. Rosie O'Donnell secretly weds fiancee Michelle Rounds. The couple apparently planned to wed in August, but moved up the date to after Rounds was diagnosed with rare Desmoid Tumors. They exchanged vows on June 9 in a private ceremony in New York before Michelle's surgery on June 14th. O'Donnell, shared the news on her blog: "We married in private before [Michelle's] surgery, just the [two] of us," she wrote. "When we r both well enough will have the wedding of r dreams surrounded by those we cherish." Congratulations to Rosie and Michelle!
Channing Tatum paid a visit to “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” while on promo trail for his latest flick Magic Mike. Utah TV station KSL-TV will not air "The New Normal," the NBC sitcom slated for a September 11 debut about a single mother's journey through life as a surrogate mother for a gay couple because the station deem the program inappropriate.
Of the video, Matt Nathanson writes, "People deserve to be free to love who they choose, without prejudice. The right to marry is an extension of this love. Until the time comes when this is no longer an issue in our culture, modern love will never be enough."

Musician Rufus Wainwright has married his longtime partner Jorn Weisbrodt in New York on Thursday. People.com is reporting that the Montauk, Long Island ceremony was attended by a slew of celebrities including Julianne Moore, Yoko Ono, Alan Cumming, Lou Reed, Paul Simon, Carrie Fisher and Mark Ronson.
